Indian Handcrafts have come a long way in the four years or so since they independently released a self-titled album in 2011.  Their first album was enough to snare the attention of Cathy Pellow, the owner of prestigious Los Angeles-based management company and record label Sargent House.

Soon after their discovery, the label hooked them up with producer Toshi Kasai who has worked with the Melvins and Big Business to record their label debut.  The Melvins’ Buzz Osborne, Coady Willis and Dale Crover even had a hand in contributing to the current Indian Handcrafts album, recording and providing guitar and drum parts. The band possesses a ferocious energy that is immediately apparent, and is amplified ten-fold during their live performances.  This live energy netted them opening spots on Billy Talent's North American tour, as well as touring spots with Post Metal titans, Russian Circles.  At Sargent House, they are now part of a family of bands that consistently put out highly-acclaimed records, and are surely on the verge of achieving greatness.  Grilledcheesapolooza is incredibly excited to present Indian Handcrafts as the headlining act for the first night of the festival.
